CCS/msp430f6435: UART only read one byte data at a time .How to receive multiple bytes of data in single UART read operation??

I am able to send string using URAT but unable to receive string due to 1 byte hardware buffer.
How to receive multiple bytes of data in single UART read operation??

And how you are able to send string when sending hardware buffer is only one byte, same as for receiving?

Hi zrno soli,
I am using for loop to transmit the data on uart but when I tried the same way for uart read ,it is blocking read operation
