MSP432-DEBUGGERS: MSP432P401R debugging using GDB

Hello,

I'm trying to debug MSP432P401R using gdb by following this guide: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau688b/slau688b.pdf

In section 3.2.2.1, it is stated that we need xds110_msp432_swd.dat for debugging using gdb_agent_console. But I couldn't find that file in MSP432GCC 1_02_00_01 linux support package.

Could you please help!

Also, it'd be great if I can get some instructions for debugging MSp432P401R in linux without CCS IDE.

Hey Mani,

I cannot reproduce your issue. The xds110_msp432_swd.dat file is location in emulation/common/uscif.

Have you been using the 32 or 64 bit installer? Have you run the installer with sudo rights?

Thanks for the response. xds110_msp432_swd.dat file is available in 64 bit installer but not in 32 bit version. I had installed 32 bit earlier that's why not able to get it.

Anyway, 64 bit version has all the required files.
