MSP432P401R: MSP432 Device Not Detected by MSP MCU Programmer and Debugger

Hi,

MSP432 Device on board is not detected by the JTAG programmer. This issue is seen only in couple of boards . Also there is no hardware issue and we see some activity in TDO output from the MSP432 part.

Is the JTAG port got disabled and is there any option to factory reset the part ?

Hi Bob,

I've the new MSP-FET-432 ADPTR . MSP-FET debugger which is not listed in the target configurations . Not sure what debugger I've to choose . I've upgraded to CCS8.1 and still my debugger is not listed in target configurations

I think you would just use MSP-FET. Does that work for you?

Hi Bob,

I didn't see any MSP-FET debugger in the list . Please find the snapshot of the debug probes list below . Please let me know which one in the list I've to use for MSP-FET-432 ADPTR ?

The MSP-FET is an XDS100v2 device, so you'd select "Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Debug Probe" from the Properties-> CCS General-> Main settings window, under "Connections".

I took another look at this, and the XDS100v2 is for another debugger (the one on my desk actually). For you, using the adapter, try selecting "TI MSP430 USB1 (Default)". Sorry for steering you wrong initially.
