I just had a PCB drawn that is using the MSP430FR4133 as microcontroller. Before I order it made I want to make sure that I can flash the MSP430FR4133 on the PCB with the launchpad using the same programming pins that are present on the launchpa. My schematic looks like this:
I also chose not to include a external oscillator. I read in other threads that my application (A2D and LCD) dont need that precise a clock. Is this correct?
Hi Sebastian,
For your first question about the programming pins on the HW design, you don't need all the 9 Pins of the LP, but just the Pin #1,2,7,9 of the JP1 you showed. Please take the Thermostat Implementation with MSP430 Microcontroller Reference Design as an example. You can reuse the J3 and related circuit(near the bottom left corner of the schematic page) the Page13 of the Thermostat Implementation With MSP430FR4xx Design Guide (Rev. A) .
For your second question, what did you means about the "A2D"?
Thank you for your answere! For the second question, with A2D I meant analog to digital, that is, I am reading a analog sensor
