Part Number: MSP-EXP430G2
I have a MSP430G2 launchpad and lots of other things attached to it like temperature and humidity sensors, RF transmitter and receiver modules etc. Now the problem is that the TI requires about 3V of regulated supply , while most of the other things require 5V. I want to power everything externally with a single battery. Now, I have designed a circuit that works in the following way. I have a 9V battery, I am using a 5V regulator IC like L7805 to produce 5V regulated supply and control the things that run on 5V . Then I am using LM3940 (3.3V regulator) to convert it to 3.3V @1A. I saw that the MSp430 can have a maximum input current of 400mA. So , will the above arrangement fry up my MSP?
