Hello,
I am working on my middle school project developing temp. and humidity sensor. I just bought two MSP430FR2433 MCU LaunchPads with onboard temp. sensor. Now, I need to find a compatible booster pack to do humidity sensing. Since I do not have a big budget for this project, I want to buy the right type of booster pack. Can you please help me with recommended booster pack that works with MSP430FR2433 MCU LaunchPad?
Thanks,
Kaustubh
Kaustubh,
The Sensors BoosterPack Plug-In Module adds a wide variety of digital sensors to your Launchpad development kit design. Among these sensors is a humidity sensor that you have requested in addition to support for developing sensor applications using the on-board gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, pressure, ambient temperature, humidity, ambient light and infrared temperature sensors. Best of luck with your developing!
Best regards,
Matt Calvo
Thanks a lot Matt, I am getting this boosterpack. My next challenge is to transfer sensor data on a regular (1 minute or less) to cloud. I see that MSP430FR2433 can be interfaced with a PC via USB, is there a way to interface MSP430 to cloud (I am okay using additional boards)?
Thanks,
Kaustubh
Kaustubh,
The MSP430FR2433 LaunchPad has backchannel UART capability explained in the User's Guide that allows you to interface it through the USB cable connection to your PC. When the sensor data is sent to your PC you will be able to then send it anywhere you'd like.
Here is a great article published in our MSP Low-Power Plays blog that dives into getting sensor data from MSP devices to the cloud. Hope this helps you with your project!
Best regards,
Matt Calvo
Thanks Matt. I am very thankful for all your help. I am very happy to work with these TI development boards. We will start getting all the content mentioned in the blog. I am wondering if you can spare some time to talk with us over video chat, to talk about our ecybermission project. I know my dad (who use to work in TI's DSP business, now works for AWS) use to be mentor to some teams here. Please let me know.
Thanks a lot
Kaustubh
