Linux/MSP430G2553: MSP430g2553 I2C at 1.8V.

Hi All

I2C is not working for 1.8V unable to get address and one more issue we are facing in our code P2.3,P2.4,P2.5 has a input ,some times this 2 input pion get permanent low i.e 0V...... then it is not recovering to high...to over come this problem please you can give some query regarding this problem..

could you please tell me more abaout your system to help you:

1.) Clock frequency of the CPU

2.) Value of the PullUp resistor

3.) Is the MSP Master or Slave?

1.) Clock frequency of the CPU ? freq 6Mhz
2.) Value of the PullUp resistor : we are enabling internal pull from msp430
3.) Is the MSP Master or Slave? Slave

Hello Saravanna,

My apologies for the tardy reply here. One important note here is what frequency are you running the I2C? The internal pullups of the MSP430 may not be strong enough for I2C transactions depending on the speed of the I2C buss. Typically, external pullups are recommended.
