MSP432P4111: EUSCI UART Baud Rate Calculation

Hi team,

We have an application where we have to change the UART baud rate and clock settings during run time to allow for our device to work with different sensors. We would rather calculate the coefficients rather than use a lookup table for each of the parameters.

I see that there is a tool that we have for MSP430 which does this here: http://software-dl.ti.com/msp430/msp430_public_sw/mcu/msp430/MSP430BaudRateConverter/index.html with the accompanying Javascript code here: http://software-dl.ti.com/msp430/msp430_public_sw/mcu/msp430/MSP430BaudRateConverter/baudrate.js

Do we have a similar tool for MSP432? Also, do we have a code example which implements this on the MSP432?

As far as I know, they use the same algorithm.

More than that, it uses the same eUSCI IP! You can safely use the same algorithm.

Which is why I am limited to a less than 48 MHz clock on my 48 MHz MSP432. 8^)

Thanks for the responses.

Do we have any code examples that implement this on the MSP432? We would like to be able to generate these coefficients instead of having to manage a lookup table.

We don't have any examples that do this dynamically. But, you could always post whatever you create here so that we'd all have it as reference!
