Msp430FR6989 Proteus Simulation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-EXP430FR6989, MSP430FR6989

hello

How can I simulate MSP-EXP430FR6989 in Proteus simulation?

If this not available then what is the simulation that include this device.

  • Hi Ahmed,

This is the first time I hear the Proteus, which is a very useful tool. I get the supported list from the official web site of Proteus, and it shows MSP430FR6989 is not supported by the tools currently. Please let me know if I go to a wrong tool's web.

As I know so far, TI officially doesn't supply any tool to support system level, which including MCU, circuit around MCU and software. But you could easily buy a launchpad from TI store, for example  MSP-EXP430FR6989, to start your design for real silicon debug and test.

For MCU software simulation, the IAR EW430 could be a choise. The IAR C-SPY Simulator could be used to simulate your software even if you haven't got the real silicon for debugging.
