Hello,
I placed a brand new micro on a board and am getting this error while trying to debug it with with the launchpad through CCS. This part was fresh off a reel. Any idea what might be causing it? I see a lot of posts pointing to the JTAG fuse, but I don't see how that is possible.
Error connecting to the target:
The Debug Interface to the device has been secured
Thanks
Hi
Dose your launchpad be recognized by your PC that is described in the document part 3.1?
Best regards
Gary
Launchpad is recognized OK and programs when I reinstall the jumpers I remove to program the custom board.
You can unlock your device by SBW / JTAG mailbox boot code (User Code Erase 0x1A1A).This can be done with any TI FET and MSP430-Flasher (msp430flasher.exe -e ERASE_USER_CODE).
Yes, any LP can be used for this. Don't know why brand new part is locked. I guess that you are trying new part on VCC > 2.0V, because FRAM device can not start (or establish SBW / JTAG connection) under 2.0V VCC.
