MSP430FR2633: scroll wheel sensor tuning

Hello

When a customer creates a sensor board and turns the scroll wheel in the forward direction, please tell me what to do if the electrodes are not well made and the value of the scroll wheel sensor is skipped. Is it possible for customers to tune their sensors in the captivate design center so that the sensor's values will go through without skipping? Or does the customer need to rework the scroll wheel sensor PCB?

What do you mean value skipping?

Did customer check the sensitivity of each electrode in CapTIvate Design Center?

We have a couple of parameters can be adjust for wheel sensor in CDC.

Hello Ling,

I will explain about skips. For example, assuming that the resolution of scroll wheel is 100, move it slowly forward so that the next to 1 is 2 and the next is 3, 4 ... in order to reach 100 at the end. However, as an extreme example, there are no 100 values, such as 1 after 2 and 2 after 10. It means that there is something that the value jumps.

It depends on the touch sensitivity and your finger move speed.

And sometimes related to PCB layout.

Hello Ling,

The customer is creating the board again. Can you see if the test results are bad after the board is completed? For this reason, should this matter be resolved once and be asked later as a related question?
