I have received my eZ430-Chronos and I installed chronos-setup.exe ,however when installing the drivers I received the error that the (usbser) Ports install failed. My RF Access Point isn't recognized when plugged in now. Using Windows 10.

Hi Jacob,
Unfortunately, the EZ430-CHRONOS is not supported anymore. Also, in the Original question thread above, you'll read that Windows 10 is not supported.

James
This is a very disappointing answer. I bought a brand new product last month and now there is no support anymore on the EZ430-Chronos!
Hi Jacob,
I'm sorry about that. Please feel free to search through the E2E forum and other online resources for helpful tips. For this issue, you'll probably want to use Windows 7. If you'd like to use a newer wireless device with active support, please check out our SimpleLink MCU devices.

Hello James,
Thanks for your reply, I will try to find a Windows 7 computer. Hope you can give me some hints to load the referee software on the watch, using the
data from this link: www.scheidsrechtershorloge.com/.../ez430chronos-v2.3-all.zip
After unzipping, what file should be used to load the software? Should I use both the RF Access Point and the eZ430 emulator (disassemble the watch)?
Regards,
Jacob
Hi Jacob,
For programming the eZ430-CHRONOS, this YouTube video should help.
eZ430-Chronos Watch - Disassembly and Assembly
In the .zip, there are three pre-compiled binary files ending with '.txt'. Please keep in mind that the eZ430 debugger is also obsolete, so it may not work correctly. I would recommend searching the forum for threads related to that.
Regards,
James
