Hey Arther,
The JTAG and SBW connections are defined in the Hardware Tools users guide, Figures 2-1 and 2-3. http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau278ae/slau278ae.pdf
Overall, your connections look okay. How are you supplying voltage? Is it from the board or the tool? I would check your VCC Tool/VCC Target connections.
Thanks,
JD
Hi JD,
I'm supplying the voltage from the board, so I use VCC Target connection (VCC Tool is beeing unconnected).
MSP-FET is starting the debug session, so I assume, it's getting the supply voltage. Unfortunately I still get Error connecting to the target: Unknown device, when I try to flash the device...
Hey Arthur,
It does seem like the issue is between the JTAG and the MSP430.
Do you have any boards you can test on?
Have you tested the connections for conductivity and confirmed the correct orientation of the chip when soldered down?
Finally, do you have any other boards or EVMS you can test the JTAG programmer on just to absolutely confirm the that programmer is working as expected?
Thanks,
JD
I already solved the problem by connecting the TEST-Pin. I think, it has to be connected, when the Controller pins are beeing multiplexed with the JTAG signals...
Thank you for all your replies.
