Hi..

I'm using a MSP-FET430UIF debug interface and MSP430FG437 device.In the CCSV4 IDE if I run the blink led code I get the following error:

"Error initializing emulator:
A firmware update is required for the USB debug interface.
Click the "Update" button to update the firmware and launch your debug session."

How do I resolve the problem without updating the firmware. Also i have one more question, if the firmware is updated will the debugger still work with CCE or CCS version below CCSV4?

    Using the MSP-FET430UIF I have always let the system update the firmware, and as of yet I haven't had any problems.  I even one time lost power right in the middle of a flash update, and the next time I tried to use the MSP-FET430UIF, I was promted to update the firmware and it worked.  Do not update the firmware of the EZ430, as this will make it stop working.
