Hi,

the linker script bugs reported last year 
https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/939422

are not fixed in the latest MSP430-GCC 9.3.0.31
so the proposed patch was not applied.

Any news regarding this?

    Thanks for your patience. Also, thanks for pointing this out. I've shared your feedback with our software team, and they are fully aware of this now and are planning to implement this fix in a future version. I can't provide a specific timeline but this will eventually be resolved.
