DRV2667: DRV2667 Maximum Output Voltage without external Boost Converter

Hi,

I'm sure this is a silly question, but I am wondering what the maximum output voltage is for the DRV2667 without an external boost converter. I've tried to program this thing to drive a 100nF Piezo at 150V, and it will not go above 100V. My supervisor would really like to drive these higher voltage piezos and the datasheet says it can drive 200V on the first page.

Hoping to get a little clarification here.

Hi Drew,

The 200V mentioned at the front page is peak to peak. You should consider the load is connected differentially between OUT+ and OUT-
The boost converter is 105V so double of that is the voltage swing due to BTL connection.

Is there a simple reason why I would only be getting 0 to +100V?

Hello Drew,

If the boost voltage is only set to around 55V, then the differential output would only be able to create a 100V peak to peak signal. I would start by measuring VBST to make sure you have 105V if you are trying to achieve up to the 200V peak to peak output.
