Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2603,
The formula and chart that you show for calculating the drive on the DRV2603. Is it the same for the DRV8601?

Hey Mike,
It is not exactly the same, to calculate the output voltage you should refer to the typical applications section starting on p.11 of the datasheet

Low Power Audio Applications
Got it. We do plan to supply a regulated voltage for VDD according to the voltage requirements of the LRA. If that is the case then I should be using 8.2.2 design example from the datasheet. Correct?
Also - I have not heard back anything about DRV8601 in regards are there any plans to EOL this part? Will it be around for how long? We are designing this into a medical application and when a part goes EOL it is not a good thing.
Hey Mike,
Yes that would be correct to use that example
There are no immediate plans I am aware of to discontinue the chip but I will check with the marketing team for more details to confirm.
Best,
Carson
