DRV8256EEVM: Wrong chip on the Eval Board?

Hello,

one of our customers purchased this board and states that a wrong chip is mounted on the board, as it includes a DRV8436 instead of a DRV8256E....

Please see the provided pictures below:

Would this and maybe other boards (which we may still have in our inventory) need to be returned to TI for replacement/rework?

    Hi Adnan,

    Apologies for this inconvenience. Yes, we noticed the wrong IC was populated on this board and we are working on reworking these boards. We pulled all of these boards from our inventory but you probably placed the order before that.

    Go to the customer support center on ti.com to return the boards.
