DRV2511-Q1: Will DRV2511-Q1 been licensed by Immersion?

If end customer want to deploy DRV2511-Q1 commercially, and they will tune some waveforms to support different user cases.

Will this total solution violate the immersion license? This is super critical for us and customers.

I only see DRV2605-Q1 mentioned that it is Immersion licensed

Hi,

there is no plan to license the DRV2511-Q1 with the immersion effects.

the parts that will have the immersion license are limited to DRV2625, and DRV2605

If customer ask whether we violate the immersions patent when they use DRV2511, how could we answer this quetion?

Hi,

Using DRV2511 will not violate the immersion patent on their waveforms. you will only be in violation If you where to intentionally trying to imitate the immersion waveform effects.

Customer should create and test their own waveforms
