DRV8434SEVM: Connection to the eval board

Hi there,

I am having problems to set up the connection to the eval board DRV8434SEVM. When I push the connect button on the start screen of the DRV84xx 0.1.4 tool, the tool gives me feedback that the hardware is connected. But when I change to the STEP/ DIR interface the tool returns the error that it failed to connect to device MSP430F2617. If I try to (re)connect from the STEP/ DIR interface the tool returns the connection error. This error also occurs when I click on the Program DRV84xx button. I have tried 9600 Baud as well as 115200 Baud without success, with and without the voltage supply for the motor. 

The status LED is blinking all the time, when the board is connected to USB, no difference when the tool shows the connected status.
