DRV8316REVM: 3x PWM Mode setup is descripted in an ambiguous way

Hello,

in ch 8.3.2.2 in the datasheet of DRV8316 rev.B you are describing the 3x PWM Mode and it's set up. The heading says " 3x PWM Mode (MODE = 10b or MODE Pin is Connected to AGND with RMODE) " but in figure 8-4 an resistor on MODE Pin is connected to AVDD.

Could please you clearify, which setting is correct? I know the "R" Version is configured in software, but in future design, we might want to have the possibility to use the non-spi version as an drop-in replacement.

    Hi Florian, 

    Table 8-2 and the diagram is correct. The heading is incorrect and should be fixed to "3x PWM Mode (MODE = 10b or MODE Pin is Connected to AVDD with RMODE)".

    We will add this to our queue of datasheet errors.

    Hi Aaron,

    thank you for your fast answer! You're talking about "queue" - sounds like more than one or two mistakes. Could you pass me a list with these errors or tell a date for the new revision of the datasheet? Would be amazing :)

    Hi Florian, 

    We actually just released the production version of the DRV8316 datasheet last week, so this is actually the first item so far!

    Generally after a datasheet is released for production, we will internally document all datasheet errors that need to be fixed, and if there are enough significant errors to warrant a datasheet update, then we will do so. Since this just a typo as an error, this will not need an update yet.
