DRV8874-Q1: Simulation model

Part Number: DRV8874-Q1

Hi, HW guys in this forum,

I downloaded DRV8874-Q model for simulation from: https://www.ti.com/product/DRV8874-Q1?keyMatch=DRV8874-Q1&tisearch=search-everything&usecase=GPN

I have only LT-SPICE installed on my PC, so i put the .lib file in the LT-SPICE lib folder and create symbol for my schematic capture with LT-SPICE way: https://www.analog.com/en/technical-articles/ltspice-simple-steps-to-import-third-party-models.html

And for sure i need to re-arrange the pin placement for easy drawing. But i do not change the pin order, even it is not aligned with that in datasheet.

This is usually OK for other part from TI, e.g. the simulation can run when i did the same for a TI's LDO.

But, DRV8874-Q1 does not work in my simulaion: the chip acts as a H-bridge to drive a load.

I open the .lib file and find:

* B. Model Limitations and Features that haven't been modelled
* 1. Thermal operation and quiscent current are not modelled
* 2. Charge pump operation

Is the not working due to that Charge pump operation not modeled?

If yes, it is strange: does it make any sense to upload a non-working H-bridge chip model for us by TI?

Thank you for your reply!

BR
