Is any example code for the DRV8300DIPW Eval kit with LAUNCHXL-F280049C available for CCS? If there is no example known, is there any similar example codebase that I can modify for this evaluation kit?

    Hi Jacob,

    Unfortunately I am not aware of any publicly available example code for CCS for the DRV8300 Eval kit. We have the GUI that can be used for evaluation, and if you want to download the offline version of the GUI you can go to dev.ti.com/gallery and search for DRV8300. Once you locate the GUI, select the download button as shown in the below picture to download the GUI offline.

    Hello Anthony,

    Thank you for replying.

    I believe that the GUI uses an Output File that is generated from building a CCS Project. I have inserted a picture below of the .out file contained in the GUI target folder. (There are three .out files, but only one gets uploaded to the MCU and not sure which one gets uploaded)

    Is the CCS Project used for building the required .out files available? If available, can the project be shared so I can build on top of it?

    You are correct that the GUI uses a .out file that is generated from building a CCS project. Let me discuss this in more detail with the team, I will aim to provide a response by the end of the week if not sooner.

    Hi Jacob,

    We should be able to release the firmware publicly, but it may not be until January before we can do it as a lot of the team has narrow bandwidth right now as the end of the year approaches. Once it is available then I will let you know where you can download it.

    Hi Anthony,

    I am also waiting for example code for the DRV8300DIPW Eval kit with LAUNCHXL-F280049C. Hope it will be released soon and details will be updated here.

    Can you please ensure the exaple code will have a provsion to  provide motor speed reference through one of the analog pins, since in many of the actual applications (like 2Wheeler) speed reference will be analog.

    I am still hoping to release it by the end of the month and will update you here once it is public. We plan on uploading the firmware as is (based on the GUI), so I don't think it will include a motor speed reference unfortunately. However you are welcome to modify the code to achieve this behavior by using one of the ADCs on the MCU.
