Dear Sir/Madam,
We are currently working on a project regarding position control of a positioning stage based on a parallel kinematic mechanism. Here three linear Airex BLDC motors need to be controlled via servo-loop. First, we are
planning to control one single linear motor with DRV8312-69M-KIT.
Doubt 1. Can we identify the parameters for the linear motor based on the instaSPIN-MOTION GUI? As conventionally rotary motor identifications are done in GUI. In our case, it is a linear motor.
Doubt 2. Can we use this above-mentioned driver for our application? as after we need to control all three motors synchronously so that the ultimate positioning stage above the three motors moves. So can we use three drivers separately or any possible single driver board so that we can have all interfacings in a single one?
Doubt 3. Can we perform position control for the linear motor using DRV8312-69M-KIT? if you have any other suggestions then please let us know. Also, mention the precision level of the position control.
Doubt 4. we are planning to execute in three ways. Are these ways okay to execute with this driver board?
## first GUI-based control for that we need only a host PC and CCS platform.
## Second, ADD-On-based MATLAB-TI CCS integration so that we can have our own logic through MATLAB/SIMULINK model to the driver board with real-time target implementation.
## Third, Implementing own logic on a real-time controller (dSPACE 1104, OPAL-RT 5600) for HIL operation so that we can take sensor signals (hall signals, encoder signals) into the real-time controller and make our own PWMs and other enable signal, power signals out of the controller and can provide the driver board (DRV8312-69M-KIT) to the motor.
Doubt 5. We are using Renishaw Tonic Digital Incremental Ti0004 - Ti10KD (2nm resolution) encoder for feedback to our linear motor. Will this digital form be compatible to be connected with the driver DRV83132-69M-KIT for servo-loop control? or should we use an analog version for this encoder?
For your kind information, motor and encoder-related documents are attached below.
Please provide your reply and also suggestions as we are looking forward to hearing you soon,
