DRV8876: How is the input voltage range of DRV8876 determined?

Hi Team,

The input voltage range of DRV8876 is 4.5V-37V. Could you please tell me how to determine 4.5V and 37V? Is there any theoretical basis for the calculation? Or is it measured through experiments? What is the test method?

    Hey Katherine, 

    That voltage range is based on the design of the chip, and we test the chips to confirm it works within this voltage range.  Outside of this recommended operating range the chip is not guaranteed to behave according to the datasheet specs.
