MCF8316AEVM: How to get test motor to spin

These are the same instructions that I followed but still have no joy. What troubleshooting solutions are there to check connections, voltage, phase or anything else that could prevent spinning? I have connected via the GUI in addition to following the Quick Start to spin by the potentiometer with dip switches all set as specified.

Is there a tech support person I can contact to troubleshoot this issue? I have followed all instructions provided. I have confirmed the voltage supply, USB connection, phased wire connections, dip switches, led lights, and potentiometer settings.

Hi Christian,

Did you enable "Auto read" to auto read any register? If so, then please disable auto read and do not read any registers while the motor is spinning. Reading registers while the motor is spinning can cause the device to get stuck in unknown state. 

Please also try to walk through the guided tuning (except the auto read registers part) on the GUI to help discover some of these issues.

Auto Read was off. I have been through the guide three times.

I need step by step solution to verify that the motor is connected correctly and the power is correct and the pins are correct etc. THere should be some feedback that everything is correct. Please assume that I have double checked everything. I have set up everything per the instructions. I don't see feedback to let me know whats wrong.

Is there any fault detected after you issue the speed commands. Have you seen the nFAULT LED being triggered on your EVM? 

Are you issuing the speed command through the potentiometer? If so, please configure the GUI to analog in the Speed Control Mode Select. See Screen capture below:

I am running analog and the settings are set in accordance with the instructions. There are no faults. USB led is red and blinking and other less are green.

At what point can we escalate this issue to phone-based support? Based on 1 email per day, it may be 100 days until we finally reach a resolution.
