Regarding the VM pin of DRV8353s, is it possible to connect only to an external 48-V supply?

Connect only 15 V in TIDA-01629:

VM and VBUCK are connected in MD015A:

Could you help check it? Thanks.

Hi Cherry,

Connecting the VM pin of the DRV8353 to only an external 48V supply is ok and should not cause any problems.

What is the difference between connecting only 48 V and only 15 V OR 48 V and 15 V to connecting VM at the same time?

Hi Cherry,

I am having trouble finding the example from MD015A that was provided. Within the hardware files from TI.com the schematic has the VM resistor not populated:

Could I be provided the raw schematic file showing that both the VBUCK and VM resistors are populated?
