DRV10983Q1EVM: GUI Error: Register reaading not successful

Hi TI expert,

We are using DRV10983Q1EVM with USB2ANY ( part no. HPA665-001) . The GUI is DRV109XXEVM.

When we open the application we get an error message saying "Register reading not successful. Please restart the GUI and try again".

After restarting the GUI many times, we are getting the same error. We have also given it power supply of 12V/24V, still it gives same error.

Here are my questions and comments below:

1. Have you downloaded the LabView 2014 Runtime Engine?

2. Have you followed the Out of the Box steps in the DRV10983 EVM User's Guide to ensure all connections are correct?

3. Have you tried running the DRV109xx GUI software in administrator mode to ensure there are no problems with permissions?

4. Have you conducted hardware checks to make sure the set up is successful?
a. Light illuminated on the USB2ANY
b. Measuring V1P8, and V3P3 with a Digital Multimeter yields approximately 1.8V and 3.3V, respectively

Essentially, this error means the I2C commands from the GUI are not being received by the device. By doing these steps, we ensure that the GUI, USB2ANY, and Device are properly connected and ready to receive I2C signals.
