DRV8870: Increasing current capacity by paralleling

Can we increase the current capacity at output by paralleling and input and output for DRV8870?

Is there any component with twice the current rating with similar feature?

Hey Rahul,

Unfortunately not, paralleling multiple motor drivers usually doesn't work because miniscule timing mismatch/variance will cause shoot-through between the two devices, connecting VM to GND.

I think the DRV8256 is the best option for you. Hardware control, 50V, 8A, sleep mode, integrated current sensing.
