DRV10983: Readback of Fan speed

Part Number: DRV10983

Hello Sir,

I am reading fan speed feedback using motor period register. I needed to make the fan to rotate in both the direction, I thought of using RPM feedback that was calculated by the help of Motor Period to detect the fan is coasted to change the direction, but as soon as the speed commd is set to zero the RPM also becomes zero, so I was not able to detect that the fan is coasted to change the direction.

What should I do to get continuous RPM feedback even the speedcmd set to zero, or any ways that I can detect that the motor is coasted completely so that I can apply reverse drive.
