DRV8806: waveform issue

Hi Team,

Use the DRV8806 to drive the stepper motor, please see the schematic and motor spec as follows:

By checking the waveforms for the four outputs A, -A, B, -B through the oscilloscope, it can be seen that there is a large overshoot voltage at the instant the coil is turned on, and there is also jitter in the working waveform:

The customer has also tried with the TBD62064APG from another corporation but cannot see the same issue, please see the TBD62064APG drive waveform:

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Hi Cherry,

Thanks for the post. The difference appears to be the Zener clamping diode used.

Could you request the customer to bypass the Zener clamp and check the waveform? Also they can try an optional diode I drew in red to make the circuit same as the other IC.

How is P_FCS2 connected to VM (V8806) in the circuit? I don't see it in the schematic. It should be like shown in the datasheet - see below.
