Hi team,

MCF8316AEVM can quickly set the chip's registers and start the motor quickly. Customer would like to know if he doesn't buy this EVM, is there any other way to quickly set the chip’s registers? If he uses a microcontroller to set it up, could you share a reference source code?

Hi Annie,

We have an FAQ which provides example code for programing a MCx BLDC motor through I2C using the MSP-ECP430FR2355 LaunchPad: https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers-group/motor-drivers/f/motor-drivers-forum/1246892/faq-program-mcx-bldc-motor-driver-through-i2c-using-msp430-launchpad.

The example code is made to program a MCF8316A, so the eeprom_regmap values will need to be adjusted to program the MCF8316C-Q1. Also, If a different microcontroller is used the code will need to be adjusted to be compatible with the customers microcontroller.
