DRV8462: Connecting to F280025C Launchpad

Hi!
Following my other post (https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers-group/motor-drivers/f/motor-drivers-forum/1315642/drv8434s-spi-example-not-working-with-f280025c-launchpad) - in addition to migrating to a TI Controller, we want to possibly migrate to 8462.
While the sample driver we have has a nice "connectivity area" marked for the F280025C Launchpad - we have been unable to find how to connect, and how to setup a sample to work with the driver.

Is there such a sample? Is there a diagram for connectivity?

Hi Roi,

I replied to the other post you mentioned. Yes the current DRV8462EVM has provision for connecting with an F280025C but it is not meant for SPI communication or controlling the driver. Instead it was provisioned for a future FOC stepper driver research work.

The DRV8462EVM has an MSP430F5338 microcontroller onboard to control the DRV8462 by communicating via SPI to read and write its registers. The source code for the EVM can be downloaded from the EVM webpage https://www.ti.com/tool/DRV8462EVM, https://dr-download.ti.com/software-development/support-software/MD-abhVTZhobH/1.0.2/DRV84XX-DRV89X2-DRV82X2-EVM-SOFTWARE.zip.

Details of the SPI protocol is provided in the DRV8462 datasheet. I hope this helps. Thanks.
