While the EVMs for DRV8213-14-34 parts are OK, they would be much more useful if some of the many unused pins on the MSP430 were made accessible. This would allow them to be used for more flexible prototyping.
Even better, it would be nice if the EVMs were split into two parts, a motherboard with the MSP430 shared among all the parts and a daughter board for each part. Possibly the motherboard could even be an existing eval board for the MSP430. Most of the cost of the eval boards is presumably the MSP430 and associated debugger. Breaking them down could greatly reduce the cost of the really useful part.
Even better still, make the daughter boards Arduino connector compatible.
