DRV10982-Q1: Question for DRV10982-Q1

Part Number: DRV10982-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MCF8315C, , MCF8315C-Q1

Hi Team,

The customer used DEMO to test and found that it took 6 seconds after startup to reach the required speed. Compared with ALLEGRO's A5947, it cannot meet the requirements. May I know how to solve this problem? Or is there any automotive-grade 28V 1.5A chip that can replace the A5947 chip in terms of performance?

  • Hi Team,

It would be helpful if you could get back to me regarding this question.

    Regards,

    Annie

  • Hi Annie,

The startup delay depends on the Startup mode (The delay factors can be from, align which can be configured up to 5.3s, open loop accel, Brake on start if ISD is enabled etc).  These parameters can be tuned to suit motor property. Do we have the specification?

We can look into MCF8315C/16C (Package RGF/ RRY) .

Please let me know package requirement and all other specification and motor details.

We will provide tuning suggestion for DRV10982-Q1 and also provide features which simplifies tuning with MCF8315C-Q1

    Thanks and Best Regards,
