The customer has an inquiry during the development of the motor driver.

Planning to develop using the 3-PWM mode based on the DRV3245.

However, as shown in the image below, there is no case in 3-PWM mode where both GHx and GLx are LOW.

Q1) In this case, how can we set both GHx and GLx to LOW?

Hi Grady,

Thank you for reaching out! 3-PWM mode is intended to be used in applications such as FOC where you will always have either the high side on or the low side on. The driver takes care of the deadtime. Therefore, in 3-PWM mode, this mode does not offer the ability to turn off a single half bridge. If you want all FETs off, the customer can use DRVOFF to accomplish that. If the customer needs to individually control each half bridge with the ability to place individual half bridges in Hi-Z mode, then the customer would need to use 6-PWM mode.
