Hi there,

I was looking for a PMSM motor control solution with a hall sensor (60°) feedback-based FOC motor control development board for quick validation of a 48V 50A IPM motor.

1. Are there libraries supported for DRV8161EVM + LAUNCHXL-F280025C to be interfaced?

2. Can the DRV8161EVM + any other launchpad be combined to provide the required solution?

3. Does the LAUNCHXL-F280025C MCU have support for hall sensor-based six-step sine commutation?

4. Does the LAUNCHXL-F280025C supports C2000WARE-MOTORCONTROL-SDK with Sensored Velocity or Position Field Oriented Control based on positon feedback: Resolver, Incremental and Absolute Encoders and Hall sensor?

Hey Manoj,

Let me direct you to the C2000 Team for support. The current solution from BLDC team uses Launch XL F280049C launchpad and has sensored trapezoidal commutation.

You can start with the Universal Motor Lab. Find directory with different SW projects and documentation (\doc folder) below.

C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_MotorControl_SDK_5_02_00_00\solutions\universal_motorcontrol_lab

DRV8161EVM is supported for different C2000 devices. Sensored and sensorless algorithms for speed control are offered, but not position control. There are other example solutions that implement position control and various other position sensors / encoders.
