Hi,
One of our customers facing an issue with BOOST-DRV8711 on the board.
I am reaching out regarding a technical issue I'm facing with the DRV8711 booster board in our instruction.
As per the provided instructions, I have successfully configured the MSP430 to transmit step pulses to the DRV8711. However, I have encountered a problem with the DRV8711's transmission of FET pulses. Despite following the instruction specified for communication between the devices, the DRV8711 does not appear to be sending the expected FET pulses.
To rectify this issue, I kindly request your assistance in troubleshooting and resolving the communication problem between the MSP430 and the DRV8711. Any guidance or alternative steps you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Please find the attached video for more clarification.

Hello,
Please follow the directions in the User guide, https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slvu967a/slvu967a.pdf. Have you installed the software and GUI necessary for using the BOOST-DRV8711 hardware?
The necessary software and code can be downloaded from this website https://www.ti.com/tool/BOOST-DRV8711. This code and GUI has been tested and proven to work. The BOOST-DRV8711 hardware will not provide an output drive unless it is enabled and controlled by the GUI as mentioned in the User guide.
Please also check E2E forum (or Google search) by doing a search on "BOOST-DRV8711". All these are available support for the BOOST-DRV8711.
Hello,
The customer is saying that he is testing Completion as per datasheet no update not working.

Hello,
Please describe "not working". Is there no output on the motor driver? Is there output but not enough to spin the motor?
What happens if they try it with no load or a smaller load?
Is nSLEEP high so that the outputs are enabled?
This is likely a device setting issue, not a MSP430 issue.
Best,
Jacob
