DRV8832 VREF Current Sourcing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8832EVM, DRV8832

Hello Team,

I have a customer who is working with the DRV8832EVM and has a question. The customer is using VREF and a potentiometer to set the VSET to set the driving voltage.

"What is the maximum current that VREF can source OR what is the smallest pot resistance that can be connected from VREF to GND to set the VSET."

I found that the VREF voltage maximum could be 1.335 V, but I could not find the maximum current out of this pin

I have looked through the user's guide for the DRV8832EVM, and I found that what was used in this EVM was a 1k pot. I also looked through the DRV8832 datasheet and the example for the voltage divider has a total resistance of 128k.

Based on this information, I know that the total resistance could be anywhere between 1k and 128k, and therefore the VREF pin can source at least 1.335 mA, but do we have any additional information about the VREF pin of the DRV8832 in regards to how much current it can source?
