DRV8307 single Hall commutation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8308EVM, DRV8307, DRV8308

Is there any way of preventing the DRV8307 from switching to single Hall commutation? I have an application for a reciprocating pump that causes the speed to vary cyclically, and the motor runs better when the commutation remains dependent on all 3 Hall sensors, as in the basic mode on the DRV8308. I've run these motors on the DRV8308EVM and LOCKn jitters on and off unless I set BASIC=1, I haven't tried it yet on a DRV8307, but it seems silly to have to use the more complex/expensive arrangement just  to be able to disable it to a more simple operation - since the internal speed loop on the DRV8308 won't stay functioning, I have another controller that provides the closed loop, so I really only want a direct PWM control and commutation
