Hi
I have got motor from port-escape 'C-161003-24C' today and Made connection (default connection) As per user guide of DRV8307. unable to run motor has single endded hall feedback HX- of all U,V,W are shorted getting 4V across HX+ ,HX-

Motor is not rotating fault indication is showm

Please help me out

Hi Adarsh,

The negative terminals of each Hall comparator inputs needs to be biased to half the VCC voltage you're using to supply the halls with.

As an example, if you're using 5V supply on the halls, the negative terminal hall inputs should be biased to approximately 2.5V and the positive terminal hall inputs should be tied to the hall IC outputs.

I am able run the motor, i have one more question how we can calculate the speed of motor.

Hi Adarsh,

I'm glad you got the motor running. The HALLOUT terminal on the DRV8307 device can be used to measure the speed of the motor. This pin is a direct copy of the HALL_U Hall Sensor input and can be used to determine the speed of the motor.
