DRV3201-Q1: DRV3201-Q1 Reduce noise level during sensitive current measurement

Part Number: DRV3201-Q1

Hello,

Customer wants to know some information to realize following that is explained in datasheet(SLVSBD6D) page 26.

“To reduce noise level on the chip the boost converter can be switched off during sensitive current measurements

with the B_EN pin. As long as the disable time interval is short enough, the boost output capacitor can keep the

boost output voltage high enough.”

Q1:

Propagation off(DRVOFF) delay time(400ns max) is explained in datasheet, but Propagation on(DRVON) delay time is not explained.

Please advise maximum Propagation on(DRVON) delay time.

Q2:

Please advise following Boost enable and disable time.

1)     Maximum delay time from B_EN rising edge to start switching

2)     Maximum delay time from B_EN falling edge to stop switching

Q3:

Customer wants to know how long they can disable boost converter while current measurement.

I think Boost voltage should be higher than V BOOSTUV and it is depend on load current of V BOOST.

So I’m asking their external circuit related to load and condition (MOSFET is switching or stable).

I will ask you the possible boost disable time with customer’s use case.

Please advise if you need additional information for the information that I am asking to customer.

(For example VS voltage etc.)

Best Regards.
