DRV8711: Some problems on the SDTHR in the DRV8711 stall register

Part Number: DRV8711

Hi,all

One of my customer has some problems on DRV8711, Please help with it. Thanks.

  • SDTHR [7: 0] bit inside Stall register DRV8711 is said to measure by experiment. Can you tell me the principle of this setting and the scope of the setting? A fixed speed threshold can only be detected by setting a value?
  • Can out-of-step be detected by speed? Can it be done internal?
  • Dose the external EMF voltage range have some relation to power supply voltage?

  • Hi Charles,

Have you read the stall detection section of www.ti.com/.../slva632.pdf ?

Can out-of-step be detected by speed? Can it be done internal?

    It cannot.

Dose the external EMF voltage range have some relation to power supply voltage?

No, it does not. The EMF voltage is determined by motor speed.
