Siddharth,

After highlight the function block, such as: "power supply" ; "load drivers"..., the page right side gives the reference design link.

For example: after highlight "power supply", five "reference designs" links are listed at right side.

Thank you very much for the reply Wang Li, I had seen this already but my query is more related to where can I get the ref. design of the whole system. I understand that ref. design of most of the blocks is available by clicking on them but many of them don’t show the used MCU and even if the MCU is used in the ref. design it varies from say LED driver ref. design to CAN ref. design so can you please point me to a single ref. design that has a single MCU as shown in the block diagram interfacing all the different parts like LIN CAN , POWER supply, MUX etc…??

Siddharth,

The MCU part is gray out. So, I don't think it has a ref. design for the whole system.
But, "Load Driver" reference design used MSP430G2553. "LED Drivers" is connected to "launch pad". You may post a new post to "MCU-MSP" forum to see if they have MSP430G2553 launch pad or you can get support from them.
Where do you find DRV8307 in this reference design?

Thanks for the reply, the MCU is highlighted in the second option under the drop down which is base BCM with the gate way , but clicking on the same gives the same reference design as for the gateway

I was thinking DRV for the FET driver portion

I didn't find DRV8307 in this solution. BTW, MSP430G2553 was also used on DRV8307EVM. You may post a new post to "MCU-MSP" forum to see if they have MSP430G2553 launch pad or get what you want.

Siddharth,

Our reference designs typically are for subsystems in the applications. In general, we do not develop full system reference designs. Further, if a reference design is targeted for automotive applications, we will automotive-qualified ICs in the design.

Can you please let me know in which reference design you are seeing DRV8307?

With regard to processors, TI has processors for BCMs which have gateway function integrated in them or for standalone gateways. These applications require much higher computational power and so TI's Jacinto processors are a good fit for these applications.

That is true that I am seeking for full system BCM ref. design. So are you suggesting to use as MCU. The challenge I see is that the sub system ref. designs are with different MCUs, for example the LED driver uses MSP whereas the CAN uses C2000, in that case it becomes challenge to integrate the sub systems. Please advise.

Also I was looking at DRV for high & low side switching to control motors. That can be ignored.

Siddharth,

With reference designs, in some cases TI is showing solutions for analog portions of the PCB and in others digital portions. If the goal of the design is to show analog solutions, the reference designs may use processors if needed and the processor itself is not the focus of the design. If is up to the customer to take relevant portions of TI Designs including suitable processor and build the full system.
