DRV8837C: Question about the switchover during power up

Part Number: DRV8837C

Hi team,

My customer is using DRV8837C to drive a stepper for IPC application.

They found that during the power up moment, there is a switchover phenomenon. Have you ever met such problem before?

They want to know if there are any internal pull up/pull down for IN1 and IN2 footprint?

Looking forward to your reply.

BR

Susan

  • Hi Susan,

We have not seen this before.
Can you clarify "the power up moment"?
Does this mean VM power up , VCC power up, nSLEEP rising to exit sleep?
Can you provide a timing diagram of the power up moment.

Also can you explain what is meant by "switchover"?

The DRV8837C does have internal pulldowns (approximately 100kOhm to ground) for IN1 and IN2. When exiting sleep the inputs should be Hi-Z.
