DRV8816: AbsoluteMaximum Ratings Input Pins

In the Datasheet ist a maximum Voltage of 7V specified for IN1/2, EN1/2, nSLEEP.
Is it possible to aktivate the Outputs permanently with a perhaps 10K resistor against 24V or should I make a resistor devider?

Even, IIN1/2, EN1/2, nSLEEP has an internal pulldown resistor, a 10k resistor cannot make these pins' voltage lower than 7V maximum rated voltage.

Please consider to bring those input voltages into the normal operating range.

Hi

My intension was not to make a Voltage Divider with the Pull Down.
The Absolut Maximum Ratings are spezified für direct connection of voltage sources (up to 7V).
But perhaps can the pins also accept higer Voltages if the incurrent is limited (perhaps to <1mA)?

Thomas,

I cannot guarantee anything because it is out of the maximum voltage spec. Please don't add a higher than the maximum rating voltage on IC pin, even the current capability is small.
