DRV8304: DRV8304HRHAR Without Current Sense

Hello Guys,

I am designing a BLDC motor driver with DRV8304. If i dont want inbuild current sense of DRV8304 what shall i do with following pins.

SOx

SPx

SNx

VREF

CAL

GAIN

Hi Muhsin,

Thanks for posting to the MD forum! When not using the CSAs, you can leave the pins as follows:

SOx - floating

SPx / SNx - tied to GND (of the external half-bridges)

VREF - tie to 3.3V (there is a VREF undervoltage spec of 2.6V, you could try and keep it floating but I am unsure of whether that will cause a fault to occur)

CAL - tie to GND

GAIN - floating
