DRV10975: How to clear the FaultCore bits in DRV10975?

Hi,

I have some question on the Faultcore bits in the register. According to the datasheet, the bits can be reset when the motor restart, does it mean that the bits are reset by power cycling? May I know what are the conditions can these bits be reset after being latch?

    Hi Christina,

    Thanks for posting your question in MD forum. FaultCode register bits are reset when the motor restarts. This means that when the motor detects a fault, the device stops the motor and waits for 5 sec and checks if the fault still persists. If yes, then it waits for another 5 sec and so on. If the fault gets cleared in 5 sec, then the device clears the Faultcode register bits and restarts the motor. Faultcode registers get reset even when the device is power cycled.
