Hi team,

I'd like to know about the size of via.
My customer wants to change to via size φ0.3 from φ0.2.
Please let me know if there is any problem to change via size?

    Hi Kengo,

    The main issue with smaller vias is that the thermal conductivity of the vias will decrease. To compensate, you will have to increase the number of vias on the thermal GND pad. If not, you might have thermal issue in your board.

    I suggest reading section 2.5 of this app-note to learn about our recommended guidelines for thermal via width size. This app-note also provides useful PCB layout techniques to help in your PCB layout design.
