DRV8889-Q1EVM: Hardware not Connected by clound website

Part Number: DRV8889-Q1EVM

Hi,

I have the same problem as this one:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers/f/motor-drivers-forum/842816/drv8889-q1evm-hardware-not-connected-on-drv8889-q1-gui-v1-0-0

I uninstalled all the versions and then installed version 1.1.7. But it still doesn't solve the problem.

I also switched the serial port from 9600 to 115200.

Below is the error log on clound web.

I think weather I need to flash the firmware of MSP mcu?

  • Yuanrui,

The date on the box is 4/16/20. The GUI should be 1.1.7 version. The serial port rate should be 115200.

When you run the GUI, do you connect the USB cable from the EVM to your computer? Can your computer link to external network?

    Regards,

    Wang

  • I checked all the cable and network links, they were all fine. The PC recognizes the serial port, but it will indicate that the hardware not connected.

  • YuanRui,

Right now, the only thing that I can think about is the serial port number and broad rate. When you search the serial port, how many port can you select? If there is another one, would you try it? The broad rate should be 115200.

If the issue is still there, can we have a webex meeting to fix it when your setup is ready?

    Regards,

    Wang Li
